The wait is over—PLDT has officially arrived among the PVL’s powerhouse clubs. 

After years of falling just short, the High Speed Hitters are now back-to-back champions, claiming the 2025 PVL Invitational Conference title on Sunday night, August 31, beating Kobe Shinwa University, 21-25, 31-29, 25-22, and 25-18, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The victory comes only two weeks after they ruled the PVL On Tour, cementing their status as one of the league’s hottest forces.

It was a victory that had been years in the making. Since entering the PVL, PLDT had endured 10 long conferences of heartbreak—close calls, near podiums, and bitter exits. But those struggles have forged resilience. And now, the payoff is sweet: not just one title, but two straight.
