Kyrie Irving has always done things differently, both on and off the court. At New York Fashion Week, he once again reminded the world that his creativity knows no bounds.

Last September 12, the Dallas Mavericks guard teamed up with Chinese sportswear giant ANTA to unveil the Hélà Season 2 apparel collection and his latest signature sneaker, the Hélà Code, in a day-long activation at 214 Lafayette Street.

The launch was divided into three phases: a media-exclusive preview in the morning, a public showcase in the afternoon, and a private evening event for invited guests. By the end of the day, it was clear—Irving and ANTA had delivered one of the week’s most buzzworthy crossovers between performance and fashion.

Hélà Code: Where Performance Meets Storytelling

Front and center was the Hélà Code, Irving’s newest signature shoe. Introduced in five striking colorways — Kairoglyphics, Astral Eye, Ink of KAIro, Stone Craft, and Papyrus White — each design carried symbolic ties to family, spirituality, and heritage.

Performance wasn’t sacrificed for style. The sneaker boasts an EVA midsole for bounce and comfort, a herringbone traction outsole for grip, and suede-leather uppers featuring headdress-inspired embroidery. Hidden within the lining is the Irving Family Camo, a quiet nod to his roots and a motif meant to symbolize protection.

Each edition told its own story: Kairoglyphics carried golden patterns and hieroglyphic-style embossing; Astral Eye leaned into cosmic prints and oversized vintage laces; while the clean Monotone Codes offered minimalist versatility.

Season 2 Apparel Expands the Vision

Alongside the footwear, the Hélà Season 2 line pushed Irving’s storytelling even further. Oversized silhouettes, convertible layers, and modular design dominated the runway looks. Jumpsuits transformed into shorts. Puffers came with detachable vests. It wasn’t just apparel—it was adaptive fashion with purpose.

Colors carried meaning: Earthen Clay represented resilience, Ember Orange signified provision, and Feather Blue captured metamorphosis. Each shade tied back to the overarching narrative of growth and transformation.

Irving’s Broader Legacy

At 33, Irving continues to evolve from just a superstar point guard into a global cultural figure. His partnership with ANTA is more than a business move—it’s a platform for merging performance innovation with storytelling rooted in identity and belief.

No official global release date has been announced, but after the NYFW debut, one thing’s for sure: the Hélà Code isn’t just another basketball shoe—it’s Kyrie Irving’s latest chapter in blending artistry with athleticism.
