“We’re expecting Justin to arrive in the next couple of days,” Cone said, sounding confident that their naturalized star is ready to jump back into action.
Brownlee had been sidelined recently due to pneumonia, forcing him to miss Meralco’s outings in the EASL and sparking concern about his availability for the national squad. But with Cone’s latest assurance, it appears Brownlee is back on his feet and nearing full clearance; timing that couldn’t be any better.

Gilas faces Guam on November 28 away from home, followed by a return meeting on December 1 at the Blue Eagle Gym. With the PBA halting action after Sunday to give way to national team duties, Cone and company will finally have the window they need to sharpen rotations, lock in chemistry, and get their heartbeat player back in uniform.
Brownlee’s return? Perfect timing. Gilas’ grind starts now.
