Safety first.
The PBA has officially postponed Sunday’s Philippine Cup double-header at the Ynares Center in Montalban as Supertyphoon Uwan looms over Luzon.
The scheduled clashes between TNT Tropang 5G and Magnolia Hotshots in the opening game, and Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and Titan Ultra Giant Risers in the main game, will be rescheduled to a later date.
League officials made the call Friday night after consulting with the PBA Board, prioritizing everyone’s safety amid forecasts of heavy rains and strong winds.
A wise move, proving once again that in the PBA, the game can wait, but safety can’t be compromised.
