June Mar Fajardo is on the verge of yet another milestone in his legendary PBA career as he emerges as the frontrunner for the Best Player of the Conference award in the ongoing Philippine Cup.

Before Game 4 tips off at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, all eyes will be on Fajardo, who is expected to be crowned BPC for the 12th time — a feat unmatched in league history. This will also be his second such award this season, reaffirming his dominance even more than a decade into his career.

If confirmed, Fajardo will also be the first finalist to take home a BPC plum this conference, proving his immense impact on both ends of the floor during San Miguel’s championship run.

The timing couldn’t be more fitting. With San Miguel holding a 2-1 series lead over TNT and coming off a convincing 108-88 Game 3 victory, Fajardo’s individual achievement could set the tone for a pivotal Game 4. A win would put the Beermen one step away from the title while pushing TNT's Grand Slam hopes to the brink.

For “The Kraken,” the award would be a testament not just to consistency, but to his continued evolution as the anchor of San Miguel’s dynasty. And if all goes well tonight, he might be celebrating not just another trophy — but another step toward a championship.
