Fresh off her Wimbledon debut, Eala continues to turn heads on the global tennis stage, yet she remains deeply rooted in her Filipino identity. “I do my best to behave as well as I can, especially in the international tennis scene. I am what comes to mind when they see Filipinos, so I really do my best,” she said. “A lot of people, especially the youth, look up to me. I want to represent us in a way Pinoys would be glad to be represented.”

Despite her recent achievements, Eala remains grounded. During her homecoming appearance, she spoke candidly about the hard work, sacrifices, and setbacks behind the scenes.
“My fitness has really improved—I’m lasting longer on court, and I can maintain a high level for a longer period. That’s why I can hang with the top players now,” she explained. “My movement is better, my forehand has improved… a lot of small adjustments have clicked this year.”Alexandra Eala leaves to warm applause following a Centre Court debut to be proud of 🇵🇭#Wimbledon pic.twitter.com/PYdK9Mf22s

Looking ahead, Eala is determined to build on her momentum. With upcoming tournaments on the WTA circuit, she’s focused on qualifying directly for Grand Slam main draws. “There’s still so much for me to achieve,” Eala said. “Of course, I want my first Grand Slam main draw win. After the US Open, I’ll be back playing closer to home in Asia.”
As the spotlight shines brighter on Alex Eala, she remains an embodiment of Filipino pride and perseverance. Her journey is far from over, but one thing is clear: she’s no longer just a promising prodigy—she’s a force to be reckoned with, carrying the hopes of a nation with every powerful forehand and resilient rally.
