TNT Tropang Giga lost to the Magnolia Hotshots, 94-92, last Wednesday because of a controversial foul call on Calvin Oftana on Paul Lee. Lee calmly sank the resulting free throws with a little over four seconds remaining in the game for the final tally.

Netizens are divided whether the call was good or bad. Here are three camera angles of the said play. You can decide for yourself.

The win preserved Magnolia's unbeaten record this conference, 3-0, while TNT was unable to win its first game, 0-1.

TNT head coach Chot Reyes was fined 50,000 pesos by the PBA for his emotional outburst immediately after the game. Team manager Jojo Lastimosa was also slapped with a 20,000-peso fine "for crossing the court and confronting game officials and the technical table."

The league released a statement on Thursday saying:

“The Office of the Commissioner will fine Coach Chot 50k for crossing the court to confront the game officials and the technical table, as well as incessantly shouting invectives/shouting profanities at game officials while exiting the Araneta Coliseum’s south gate.”

There were no suspensions given, however.

Meanwhile, Oftana shrugged off the issue, saying that it's just part of the game.

“No comment. Ganun talaga ang basketball,” Oftana said in an interview. “May mga ganung bagay na nangyayari talaga.”

“We need to move on and look forward to the next game,” he added.
